Preparing Non-Degree Courses for Teaching and Learning on LEB2

  • Updated

To ensure effective teaching and learning management for Non-Degree programs through the LEB2 platform, it is important to prepare learner accounts and classroom setups in advance. This article is designed to help instructors and project coordinators correctly prepare classroom information and ensure a smooth onboarding process while the automatic system integration is still under development.

🛑 Common Challenges

Instructors may be ready to start teaching a Non-Degree course on LEB2 but discover that:

  • The required classroom cannot be found.
  • Learners do not yet have user accounts.

As a result, learners may be unable to access classrooms and learning materials on time.

Cause

Currently, the relevant databases are not yet fully integrated. (The LEB2 team will provide updates once the integration is completed.)

In the future, the process will work as follows:

  • Instructors will be able to create classrooms immediately through the Import Class feature.
  • Once learners complete their course registration, they will be able to access LEB2 directly using their @kmutt accounts.

👥 Target Audience

This guide is intended for:

  • Instructors teaching Non-Degree courses and planning to use LEB2 for teaching and learning activities.
  • Project coordinators and administrative staff involved in Non-Degree programs.

1. Understanding Project Types and Learner Account Roles

Before creating a classroom, it is important to understand the structure of Non-Degree programs. These programs are divided into three main categories, each with different account roles automatically assigned through the CRM system.

Group 1: Train

Sub-project Types

  • Non-Degree Programs (managed by KMUTTWORK)
  • Camps (managed by the Admission Office)

System Access

Primarily authorized to use the university Wi-Fi network.

Group 2: Learn ⭐⭐⭐

Sub-project Types

  • OBEM (Non-Degree) – jointly managed by EDS and Admission
  • OBEM Co-enrollment / Pre-Degree Courses – managed by Admission

System Access

Authorized as a learner and able to access courses on the LEB2 platform.

Group 3: Earn

Sub-project Types

  • 4Life Programs (managed by ETS)

🌐 Additional Information for International Students

  • Students who require a visa should contact the International Affairs Office (IA).
  • Students who do not require a visa may apply through any of the three pathways above (Train, Learn, or Earn) following the standard process.

2. Project Activation Process

Instructors or project coordinators can request project activation through the ONE KMUTT platform.

📝 Step 1: Contact the Responsible Department

Project owners or coordinators should contact the department responsible for their project category (Train, Learn, or Earn) and complete the project activation request form.

Important Note: To allow learners to access LEB2, the user's role must be assigned as User Type 2: Learner.

🌐 Step 2: Open Course Registration

The responsible department will import the project information into the Join system and open registration for the public.

Verification

Instructors and coordinators are strongly encouraged to review classroom information for accuracy before teaching begins.

⚠️ Critical Steps for Learners

Coordinators should emphasize the following three steps to learners to ensure successful access to the classroom.

  1. The Computer Center will create learner accounts.
  2. Learners will receive an email from ccsupport@kmutt.ac.th containing a link to create their password.
  3. Password creation must be completed within 2 days of receiving the email.

If the Link Expires

Learners can request a new password setup link through the K-Accounts Recovery System.

Important

Creating a password and activating the account are mandatory. Learners who do not complete these steps will not be able to access LEB2.
