Step 1: Exporting Files from QuickTime Player
Record your screen as usual (File > New Screen Recording).
Once recorded, go to File > Export As > select your desired resolution (e.g., 1080p or 720p).
Check and select the encoding format (depending on your macOS version):
In the export dialog, select Greater Compatibility (H.264) (Do not select Smaller File Size / HEVC).
If your system version does not offer a codec choice, it will automatically save as HEVC (H.265). You will need to convert the file in the next step.
