Everything You Need to Know about Managing Classroom

New semester new classroom to be prepared for! KMUTT Learning Environment B2 (LEB2) has already prepared LEB2 platform for online learning. This article shows you all about managing a classroom on LEB2 by starting at How to Import Course Information to LEB2 until publishing the class. 

What to prepare before starting a new semester?

Firstly, check the accuracy of your course information before importing it through LEB2. You can read the steps via How to Import Course Information to LEB2. If you have understood and already completed it, you can carry on to the next step. 

Import class

After your course information has been completed, you need to import the classroom on LEB2. The information that gets sent to NewACIS including the students' names who have enrolled your course, will be updated through LEB2 automatically a day after the enrollment. All you have to do is to log in to LEB2 and import the class.

Steps to import class

  1. Click "Import Class"
  2. Select the semester
  3. Select the class
  4. Click "Import"

Note: The imported class will be displayed as Draft Classes

Clone plan

In case you wish to use the same teaching plan as the previous semester, you can simply clone plan to the new class in the new semester. 

Steps to clone plan

  1. Log in to LEB2
  2. Select the class you want to use the plan
  3. Click icon "Setting" and then select "Clone Plan"

  4. Select the destination classroom
  5. Click "Clone"

Note: 4 information will also be cloned to the new class. Do not forget to change the publish and due dates accordingly.

Remark:

  1. Cloning plan is to copy ALL information from the original classroom. You can select the activity. If you want to copy only the activity, you can do it by selecting "Clone quiz
  2. Managing the same class but in a different semester by using "Import Learn It" feature for the easier management on reusing the same videos without uploading the new ones.

Publish class

After you have completed designing the teaching plan and be ready to start teaching, you can publish class on LEB2 so that the students can see and access the class. 

Steps to publish class

  1. Log in to LEB2
  2. Select Current Class tab
  3. Select the class you want to publish
  4. Click "Publish Class"

Note: After the imported classes have been published, they will be displayed as Published Classes

Manage the class you don't use anymore

There are some classes you don't use anymore from the previous semester but they are still shown in your class dashboard. If you don't need them, there 2 ways for the management. 

1. Archive Class you just convert the current class to section "Archived". However, all the teaching team and students will still be in the classroom.  

Steps to archive class

  1. Log in to LEB2
  2. Select the class
  3. Click "Setting" icon
  4. Select Archive
  5. The notification will appear to ask for the confirmation 
  6. Click "OK"

the class will be kept in "Archived Classes"

2. Leave class it is like deleting the classroom from the LEB2 system. Once you leave, you won't be able to see or access the class anymore. 

Steps to leave class

  1. Log in to LEB2
  2. Select the class you want to leave
  3. Click "Setting" icon
  4. Select Leave Class

Note

  • If you are a class owner, you you need to assign one of the teaching team to be a new class owner before leaving.
  • If you are the only one in the class no matter if you are a class owner or not, you won't be able to leave the class.
  • If you are a class owner, you can delete the class. In case there are more than one member of the teaching team in the class, delete all of them and then delete the class.
